The paint rollers are having a rest, my screwdrivers are stowed and the last bit of washing is drying ready for Frankia to haul us back to Puerto MazarrónThe Wednesday night darts and gathering of the Los Cerricos ex-pats was just one quick drink for me, good to chat to them all though.
The chocolate in the fridge was a treat to take back as a joke to Prisci completing her exams. I think Chucketta has a problem here, Twix thrown overboard – sorry.
My living quarters have been brilliant at Stu & Lynns, Margaret & Derycks, Rachel & Matts, Nadine & Marks, Sabine & Andrews, Ann & Gordons, in 2017 so far. But the offer of having a base in Puerto was too good to miss. I’ll still carry on sitting through the years but will not be Frankia bound between them.
At the McCobb Casa I took a few pictures of the fanlights I was fitting, to pass them on as a progress note. It’s funny how you never feel quite alone with Chucketta here, and now the pictures show a new friend in the room!
Looking for the light bulbs when fitting the fanlights (Deryck left them on the new boxes Im sure), I found them under a bed that was made ready for the McCobbs nanny.
The day with Deryck and Margaret was both productive and enjoyable,
Deryck fitted out the pump room with a new pipe work system ready for moving the washing machine in, and irrigation connections with a tap/hose connection on the external wall too. I will wire a socket and the laundry room will be perfect for Matt to use (That was the plan Rachel made I’m sure).
Lunch with a bottle of white was served by the housemaid (good job on the bedrooms Margaret)
It was a long day for the Davison’s, travelling, shopping on the way, working then a journey home after 20:00. The beds were made for a sleepover, maybe Chucketta or the spook (I’m naming him Vernon) didn’t appeal?
It’s road time for me, with a wish to visit the home caves and an interesting crop of building on a hill ….. when I return in a 12/15 days time ..
